Official Call for Mail Art: Corresponding Garbage, August 1, 2014 to September 1, 2015.

Mail Art Call

We are celebrating one year of Creative Reuse in Louisville, KY by opening a call for Mail Art. The show is called Mail Art: Corresponding Garbage.

We will start receiving art August 1st, 2014. It must be sent via Postal Mail and should be addressed to:

Good Garbage Inc.
% Lynn Quire
941 Samuel Street
Louisville, KY 40204, USA

The gallery show will begin with our first received piece of mail art and run through September 1, 2015. It will begin at the ReDux Gallery at Good Garbage, Louisville’s Center for Creative Reuse at 2020 Duncan Street, Louisville, KY 40203, USA, and will circulate various pieces throughout venues all over the Louisville area, such as coffee shops, unique stores and other galleries as our collection grows.

The theme is Corresponding Garbage. The piece can be any size and any medium, but must depict a theme of reuse, recycle, repurpose of items normally destined for the landfill or even the recycling bin.

Items must be G rated as the art will be displayed at many family friendly venues.

Non-Juried. We are encouraging everyone from children to well published Mail Art artists to participate, from around the world.

No Cost for Submission

No art will be returned.

All entries will receive a piece of the same theme in return, made and donated by a local artist.

All entries will be scanned or photographed and displayed at www.CorrespondingGarbage.blogspot.com.

Please be sure to include the following:
            Artist Name (printed or typed)
            Title, if any
